About Travellers Worldwide.
Travellers Worldwide has been operating since 1994 and in that time we have been very busy sending thousands of volunteers all over the world, to do good and to discover more than they could possibly have imagined! We have a heart and a knack for developing exceptional projects. We’ve been growing steadily over the years, learning and adapting with the times and we are very proud to now have 20 country destinations full of (if we say so ourselves!) over 300 amazing voluntary projects.
Our projects are open to volunteers of all ages and nationalities and generally require no formal qualifications. We welcome mature volunteers.
We believe our projects are worthwhile and our volunteers really do make a difference to local communities, children and animals in need. We also strive to provide a lot of flexibility making each placement unique to each volunteers needs.
We very much want each and every one of our volunteers to have a happy, healthy and safe experience on their placement.
We pride ourselves on offering exceptional support to our volunteers. We have staff on the ground in our destinations and access to 24/7 hour support from the UK office throughout our volunteers’ time overseas.
Our profit is pumped not into large and expensive marketing campaigns, but back into our projects, into building classrooms for schools or enabling the continuation of vital endangered animal research. Although we are a ‘for profit’ organisation we try to be very charitable in our approach.
We also try to consider responsible travelling in all our operations, whether it be employing local staff overseas, advising our volunteers about responsible travel practices or recycling in our UK office.
We currently have teaching (English and other subjects), sports coaching, conservation, work experience and care projects. We also offer cultural experiences, for example, mediation in a Sri Lankan monastery, tango classes, or a variety of language courses. In addition we offer training to our volunteers including TEFL certificates.
We are currently offering projects in: Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, China, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
