Description
We've five distinct departments:
HR Services deliver advice and support for people related activities ranging from holidays and sickness to recruitment. People Management Advice, Data Services (Management Information) and Payroll Services also fall under this function
HR Change deal with the Development of Nationwide People Strategy and HR Divisional Strategy/Leadership of the people elements of large scale corporate change like mergers, acquisitions or disposals and Leadership and drive for the management of group wide People Operational Risk and HR Divisional Operational Risk
Learning & Development meets the training needs of our very diverse employee group
Employee Engagement deal with rewards and recognition and developing people policies such as health & safety, diversity etc
Talent & Excecutive Development deal with the Graduate Programme and all development and appointments at Senior Executive level and above in order to support the Corporate succession plan
Sixteen months will be spent working on a variety of projects/activities across some of the above departments. You could find yourself creating an Investor in People initiative, developing a training programme, or helping to review and improve our recruitment process.
All projects are likely to involve liaison with various areas of our business as well as with third parties - internal and external.
During your placement, we'll support your study towards a personnel qualification with financial sponsorship and study leave
